The Logical Observation Identifiers Names and Codes (LOINC) system is a universal code system for identifying laboratory and clinical observations. Documentation and downloads are available (for free) from LOINC.org. We currently have the following LOINC resources available in CCGE:
LOINC code table
See the LOINC2013 table under the CMS_SUPP schema in the CCGE11P1 Oracle database. This is version 2.42 downloaded in May 2013 from the download area of LOINC.org. The version of the table on Oracle contains only the most important fields. The full database (as an Access DB) can be found in P:\Active Projects\Lab Monitoring in Medicare\LOINC info\loinc.mdb .
