do a printout of this message, and place printout and yellow problem flag in book.

Instruction to staff: Books with this info should be placed on a Shelf Prep Staff Member's desk; not on problem truck.

B. **Emphasize: Other types of problems pop-ups and what to do: equivalencies (= and etc.) pop-ups; Call number length

C. **Emphasize to the student to advance the labels once as they finish each row of books. If something goes wrong with the labeling machine, DO NOT TRY TO FIX IT! Please ask Shelf Prep staff to help you.

D. Instructions to staff: If you do not have enough time to train the student thoroughly, please run the labels yourself.

Instructions to Student when Labeling books:

2. Show the student the list of error problems, front and back, found in the Student Working Box in the protective sheet cover. Place both parts of the error labels at the top of the yellow flag which includes the title and barcode.

3. Very important!! Emphasize to the student that they must match the barcode on the book and on the call number label before labeling each book.

A. **Demonstrate how you match, peel off the label, label the book, stamp the book, and target the book.

B. Emphasize they must process in this order ALWAYS! Otherwise, we will have trucks sitting around that are incomplete and cannot be sent to the stacks until they are completed.

C. Demonstrate at least 3 books while they watch you.

D. Demonstrate a thin book where the label should go on the front cover. Explain if the book's spine is wide enough and the label wraps around smoothly, it is fine to go on the spine.

E. Demonstrate a PL-480 if you have one on your truck. If you do not have a PL-480 on your truck, please remember to demonstrate to that same student for the next truck.

F. If a label does not print for one of the books, place a yellow flag inside the book. They do not have to write anything on the yellow flag. This includes all the problem or error books.
