The General Data Privacy Regulation, or GDPR, is a privacy regulation in the European Union governing the collection and processing of personal data within the European Economic Area (EEA). While GDPR contracts and data use agreements can contain security clauses, it's important to remember that GDPR is largely a privacy regulation.
EEA countries include Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Republic of Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and the UK. - : subjects do not have be living in the EEA;
- they can be anyone physically present there, including travelers.
