To become a contributor,

you must first register an account on MorphoSource

2) Send the MorphoSource administrators (morphosource@duke.edu) a request for contributor status with the information below.

  • The email address associated with your MorphoSource account
  • Your academic affiliation
  • The source and nature of data you plan to contribute.
  • Estimates of the data volume

3) A member of our admin team will respond and provide you with a copy of the Contributor Terms of Use document.

After creating an account, visit Become A Contributor and supply a few details about the media you intend to contribute to MorphoSource or your reason for applying to be a project member or data manager. An administrator will check your application, and you will either be approved or hear back with additional questions or instructions presently. Thank you!

The specific information that will be requested from you when you apply for contributor status includes:

  • The nature and purpose of the data you intend to contribute, or your reason for applying for project member and/or data manager status
  • Organization (Institution, museum, university, etc.)
  • Department
  • If you are a graduate student, the name, email, and professional affiliation of your advisor
  • Approximate size of the data you intend to contribute in gigabytes or other appropriate units

You will also be asked to agree to the MorphoSource Contributor Terms of Use. These are distinct from the general MorphoSource Terms of Use, and you will be required to agree to comply with both sets of terms.
