Introduction

Most printing in Alma is done using browser printing - just like printing a web page.

This should be saved with your Alma account so you only have to do it once.

If you work at multiple Alma service desks or department locations, you will need to check this box at each location.

Transit and hold slips that print in Alma will remain in the printouts queue for 30 days.

 Automatic printing of hold slips

Automatic printing of hold slips

Alma supports automatic printing of hold slips, just like Aleph. Some libraries will use this functionality, and some will choose to manually print slips from the printout queue.

If your library uses the Alma print daemon, slips will automatically print at a predetermined time.

If your library prints from the printout queue:

  1. Go to Admin > Printouts Queue.

  2. Select your service desk from the “Facets” menu, and select a status of “Pending” from the filter.

  3. Use the checkbox to select the printouts and choose “Print Selected.”
