Below are available summer internship opportunities of interest to CBB students:

  1.   2. Becton-Dickinson Technologies, located in the Research Triangle Park, has 3 internship opportunities in:

    3. Smart (#3, this one is particularly relevant to CBB students as it involves developing "mobile and web apps with analytics and databases running in the back end")

    See the attachments for the specific job descriptions.  Although the opportunities state they are for summer undergrad interns, they are also looking for PhDs to evaluate possible full-time hires (there was a biology student who did one such internship with them last year who now has a full-time job at BD Technologies).  The BD Technologies contact is Kristen Crapnell, PhD (kirsten_crapnell@bd.com), and here is the job announcement email:

    I am contacting you from BD Technologies located in RTP, NC.  BD Technologies is offering summer internship programs this summer 2015.  The position will last roughly 12 weeks starting June 1, 2015, and ending August 21, 2015. Some flexibility with the position’s start and end dates may be allowed to accommodate the candidate’s schedule. 

    If you or your student meets the skills and requirements for any of these positions, please have them submit their CV and cover letter to me (Kirsten Crapnell).  I will then transfer all applications (CV and cover letter) to the hiring manager and they will be contacting those regarding next steps.
