Important announcement: 

Sync meeting of programming team moves to every FRI 2:30PM

Last week’s progress:

  • [BlueBear]: Bob and Yiming will purchase for the playground and robots-related work can be started ASAP.
  • [Temirlan]: Finished the codes that cater to the function also to send signals to the robots, need to figure out auto control.
  • [Nizar]: Finished codes, wait for the robots and playground to test the codes.
  • [Bouchra]: Discussion with Temirlan
    1. Training part issue: how to write bytecodes to feed scores and practice punishment… (under discussion)

This week’s plan:

  • [Temirlan]: Cooperated with Jasper (who will help to check the bugs) & auto control.
  • [Nizar]: Test codes on robots once the robots & playground are available.
    1. Should be done by programming team itself, mechanics team may be able to help.
  • [Bouchra]: Discuss with Renzo (along with Josh) about joining the Dii project SLAM. Also will share what she learned about SLAM during summer vacation.

SLAM project:

  • Currently borrowing a robot from Prof. Bing Luo, also other needed components from Ine lab, people who are interested can go to test the performance of codes on the robot.
  • Renzo will be responsible for the engineering part (not the algorithm part), but project members can share the progress and seek help from other members.
