This example uses analytics to find items in Lilly Library that are part of the Current Lit collection. The MMSIDs from that analysis are then used in a new analysis to find all items attached to each MMSID.

To create the initial analysis, go to Alma Analytics, Create, Analysis:

Create, Analysis and Interactive Reporting, Analysis

In the Criteria Menu, drag criteria selections from the left dropdown menu to the right to add them. Click the gear box for each criteria to add any filters:

Next, click Results:

list of items from analytics results

This data shows the MMSID for each item in the Lilly Current Lit collection, but it doesn’t show items attached to the MMSID that are not in that collection. To find all items attached to each MMSID, another analytics query can be created using the results from this analysis. To do this, begin by creating a new analysis following the steps above.

In this example, the MMSID is selected as the first column in the new analysis. Click the gear box to add a new filter. In the New Filter Operator Field, select “is based on results of another analysis.”

You will then need to browse to the previously saved analysis:

You can easily see your saved analyses by clicking the Quick Access folder icon. Select the analysis to use as a filter:

Next, select the column to be used in the new analysis:

Use values in Column dropdown menu

This step has added a filter to the MMSID showing that the data for that column will be pulled from another analysis:

Finish the process by adding other desired criteria and clicking the Results tab.
