Duke Press sends two copies of each monograph in their catalogs: one hardcover going to Rubenstein; one softcover going to CSD for scanning and then on to their respective permanent locations. DUL already holds the e-book for each title.

“Print Add-on” items (softcovers):

  • Place in CSD bin in Shipping & Receiving to send for scanning

 

Rubenstein (hardcovers):

  • No order records; add holdings and item to record directly

  • Do not Receive (no order = no receipt)

  • Do not property stamp books

  • Barcodes are placed right-side up on acid-free flags (nothing on books)

  • Copy-catalog – all books go to Rubenstein, regardless of call number

    • NO CID

    • DUP Rubenstein item info:

      • Holdings location = SCL; Collection = PRB

      • Item Policy = Reading Room use only

      • Process type = Acquisitions technical services

      • At = SCL Acquisitions Department

  • Spine label placed on opposite side of barcode on the acid-free flag

  • Scan In Items:

    • Before scanning, change location to Rubenstein Library – SCL Acquisitions Department (location icon at top right of page)

  • Done = No
