Interactions between Alma and the CRS, ArchivesSpace, and Digital Repositories

There are no programmatic integrations between Alma (and the Catalog Request System), ArchivesSpace, and the Digital Repositories.

However, there are manually managed data processes that enable the UI in ArchivesSpace and the Digital Repositories to link to CRS or Books & Media records. Catalogers or repository staff manage those connections by including the bibliographic IDs from the Alma record.

That means that if we change how bibliographic IDs are generated, parsed, or otherwise used coming out of Alma, that we need to consider the (potential) impact on ArchivesSpace and digital repositories, in addition to other discovery tools.
