CaiaSoft/LSC Documentation Hub

Welcome!

Thank you for visiting the CaiaSoft/LSC Documentation Hub! This site is designed to be a resource both for LSC staff and for those who work elsewhere but want to learn more about the LSC's workflows, as well as the different ways that the LSC serves community partners. If any questions pop up while browsing the site, or if you see a workflow you wish to adopt for your own library, please reach out to the LSC Department Head.

What is CaiaSoft?

CaiaSoft is a web-based Inventory Management Software that the Library Service Center uses to keep track of its almost six million item inventory. The improved interface, increased accessibility, and enhanced reporting capabilities of CaiaSoft will improve LSC operations, as well as help community partners gain more insights on their holdings at the facility. CaiaSoft will give the LSC more control over its data, allowing us to tackle key problems that have caused headaches in the past.

Duke University Libraries' CaiaSoft website is duke.caiasoft.com. Users will log in with their NetID; however, an account must be created within CaiaSoft for a user to have access. To request an account, please submit a ticket in ServiceNow to the Application Support - Library Enterprise Systems group.

COVID-19 Information:

The Library Service Center reopened with reduced hours for staff on June 8th. Like most of our community partners, the LSC is committed to following Duke's return-to-work policies and recommendations to ensure a safe environment for staff, patrons and guests. LSC staff (with the help of invaluable guidance from Administrative Services) have also collaborated to produce a set of special guidelines for our facility, which reflect the unique workflows that occur at an off-site storage library.
