Patron access to Electronic Resources
Patron access to electronic resources is not governed by the Alma user account; instead it is a function supported by OIT’s grouper service and depends on a patron’s affiliation and status.
The grouper group is duke:policies:library_resources:library_access
This means that a patron can have access to e-resources without having an Alma account.
ERSA has said that none of the e-resource licenses have any language about users’ temporary status impacting access as far as they are aware (e.g., if someone goes on a sabbatical.)
