Email configuration

  • Configuration > General > Integration profiles. There is an integration of type “Mail Handling” that sends out email. Jeff did the configuration.

  • We had to use a Duke address as the default SMTP EnvelopeFrom address and set up a Sympa list for this purpose - “duke-alma-email@duke.edu.”

  • The letter label “addressFrom” must be manually set to “duke-alma-email@duke.edu” for each letter. We used an available Alma Cloud app to do it from one interface.

  • In Configuration > Fulfillment > General > Other Settings, we enabled the parameter separate_patron_notifications_by_library by setting it to true.

  • Each library that is doing active loans needs a circulation email address configured in Configuration > Fulfillment > Library details. The address must be labeled as “Circulation communication”. This becomes the address that “patron-facing” notices are sent from.
