Ongoing management activities of organizational teams

More details on what an organizational management team is can be found here.

Once a team is onboarded, for management, there are 4 basic activities, which generally speaking should not take more than an hour a week at most.

1. Keep their permission template up-to-date to reflect their museum policies, and inform MorphoSource administrators when changes need to be made retroactively to existing media.

2. Check, edit, and maintain their specimen records

    • Managers and Editors of the Organizational Management Team have edit access to all specimen record metadata linked to their team.

3. For museum's with policies that forbid sharing of media with “open download”, regularly check for “download requests”  (system sends notifications).

4. For teams that specify an organizational data manager, regularly check for “transfer requests” to take over management of newly added media (system sends notifications).
