ECG testers

Background

The Duke chapter of EWH manufactured about 150 ECG testers in '06-'07. The device mimics a human subject by putting out four heartbeat frequencies that an ECG can be calibrated to. The tester can also put out four sine frequencies for calibration. The .zip file describing the project in greater detail is in the attachments section. The chapter may attempt another manufacturing project. A list of bugs we will attempt to fix follows:

  • PCB file masks many of the contacts; the file needs to be modified or special directions must be sent to the manufacturer
  • errors in the PIC code, some unwieldy syntax
  • mislabeled BPM
  • unused holes on the PCB
