UITS Research Technologies provides researchers with access to powerful supercomputers which can handle heavy workloads that may not be feasible with the computing power of a standard desktop workstation or laptop.

IU supercomputers are approved for PHI,  but subject to "Shared responsibility model for securing PHI on UITS systems".
