Using Roles and Role Profiles
We will assign roles to Alma users using Alma’s “role profile” feature. This allows us to create groups of roles and assign them to a user all at once.
During our training period, we will create role profiles that correspond to individual library jobs.
The goal is for one job to get one role profile, but we may split some jobs into multiple profiles to make managing easier.
Staff participating in training will be asked to share feedback if they do not have permissions to something that they need, or if they see something in Alma that they did not expect to be able to see.
