Default Locations Based on Call Numbers
Call numbers beginning with these letters do not go to Perkins Stacks and should be assigned to Lilly or Music unless it's paid by Divinity
Paid by Divinity (fund code starts with D):
All call numbers in the M range: Music
All call numbers in the N range: Lilly
All call numbers in the TR 640-689.5 range: Lilly (Artistic Photography)
All call numbers in the BL-BX range: Divinity (regardless of who paid for them)
All call numbers between PN1990 - PN1999 (PLI Collection): Lilly except Theater (based on Subject Headings)
Example:
Language-specific notes (re: books written IN the language in question):
- Korean-language books that would go to Divinity should go to PKE
- Korean, Japanese, and Chinese language books that would go to Lilly should be considered based on precedent and amount of text vs. images (consult if questioning). Chinese-language titles that have mainly pictures and English text can go to Lilly. If majority text with little to no English/pictures, they should go to PKE.
- Korean-language books with majority text with M call numbers can still go to PKE. If they contain more images or written music/scores, they should go to Music.
- Japanese manga in Japanese should go to PKE with a call number starting PN6790.J34
- Japanese manga in English translation should go to Lilly, but ditto on the call number
- Chinese-language books on films go to PKE (English-language go to Lilly)
