Language-specific notes (re: books written IN the language in question):

  • Korean-language books that would go to Divinity should go to PKE
  • Korean, Japanese, and Chinese language books that would go to Lilly should be considered based on precedent and amount of text vs. images (consult if questioning). Chinese-language titles that have mainly pictures and English text can go to Lilly. If majority text with little to no English/pictures, they should go to PKE.
  • Korean-language books with majority text with M call numbers can still go to PKE. If they contain more images or written music/scores, they should go to Music.
  • Japanese manga in Japanese should go to PKE with a call number starting PN6790.J34
  • Japanese manga in English translation should go to Lilly, but ditto on the call number
  • Chinese-language books on films go to PKE (English-language go to Lilly)

  • No labels
