Alma has very limited “read-only” permissions, and we cannot create custom permissions ourselves.
Alma has:
Fund-ledger viewer: view only for funds and ledgers
Course Reserves viewer: view only for course reserves
Licenses viewer: view and print licenses
In addition, there are a number of administrator roles that can be granted in “read-only” mode.

Permission to edit a calendar for an Alma circulation desk requires having Circulation Desk Manager for that desk.
