Withdrawing Single Titles

Using barcodes supplied by CSD, or public services points working in conjunction with CSD, follow the steps below.Â
In rare cases, Collection Services staff performing monograph or serials maintenance will identify a candidate for withdrawal based on poor condition or policy changes. For example, withdrawing previously cataloged journal offprint articles. In these cases, also follow the steps below. Additionally, route physical materials to CSD for disposal.
Caveat: Do not withdraw any item with the print retention collection, code KEEPR, or that is attached to a bibliographic record with other KEEPR items. Consult with the Head of Resource Description, the Team Lead for Bindery and Monograph Maintenance, or the Team Lead for Original Cataloging.
